Private Yoga Instruction
Though one might not know it by looking at today's popular, packed yoga studios, yoga has traditionally been taught one-on-one. No two people are exactly alike, and private yoga instruction gives you an opportunity to have a practice tailored to your unique needs and goals. Whatever your goals may be -- to reduce stress, stretch and strengthen, heal injuries, engage in prenatal or postnatal exercise, or find a clearer mind - private lessons are a convenient way to receive the individualized instruction that you need.
Whether you are brand new to yoga or a more advanced student, Lauren will help you identify and follow through with your goals - body, mind and spirit. Lauren incorporates breathing techniques, postures, meditations, yoga philosophy, and life skills coaching to help you develop a personal practice and advance your study of yoga. Lauren will answer any questions you have as you go, and move at a pace that is tailored to your needs.
Lauren offers private yoga instruction in person and via Skype/FaceTime.

Why is yoga helpful for cancer patients?
Grappling with cancer can be one of life's greatest challenges. Yoga and meditation can be a powerful tool for reducing stress, anxiety, and pain. Yoga simultaneously relaxes the mind, strengthens the body, and helps one draw on their own healing resources within. Sessions focus on breath work, gentle movement, meditation, and visualization, and not on attaining the "perfect pose." Most of the postures can be done seated, lying down, or with a chair -- a benefit for those who are fatigued or who have limited mobility.
One-on-one yoga therapy can be a vital part of your healing process. Please do not hesitate to reach out for a free phone consultation at (323) 438-9972.

Reiki Healing Sessions
What is Reiki?
Reiki is a simple and safe Japanese hands-on healing technique that helps relieve stress and can encourage healing on physical, mental, emotional and spiritual levels. “Rei” means “universal soul or spirit”, and “Ki” means “energy”. Put together, the two words mean “universal life force energy”.
What to expect in a Reiki session:
During a healing, one lies fully clothed on a massage table (or the floor), having removed shoes only. The Reiki practitioner lightly places his or her hands in a series of positions throughout the body in order to transmit Reiki energy. The recipient of healing will often feel heat or warmth from the practitioner’s hands and feel deeply relaxed.
A Reiki session typically lasts one hour, with half the time being spent on the front of the person’s body and the other half on the back of the body. Many recipients of Reiki healing report greater feelings of well-being, health and awareness after their treatments.
